Auto Body Repair

Repairing your car’s bodywork and structure after a crash is always a serious commitment. You want your vehicle to look as good as it did before your accident, but you also want it to be as strong and as safe as when it first rolled off the assembly line. That’s true whether you need a minor touch-up or a more significant repair after a major accident. Cutting corners during repairs can leave your car’s safety structure compromised, putting you and your family at risk, so it’s important to pick a body-repair shop that works hard to make your car as good as new!

At Kar Kraft, we can perform any type of auto body repair you need. Our skilled technicians can work on anything from surface repair, paint resurfacing, bumper repairs, and hail damage, all the way up to fixing your vehicle’s bodywork, repairing its unibody, its structure, or its frame. No matter the task, our goal is to perform safe, high-quality, and durable repairs on your car.

We work hard to make sure that your car is as good after a repair as it was when it left the factory. For starters, we use the same quality of steel and the same types of welds as your car’s manufacturer, guaranteeing that it will be just as safe after the collision repair. There are dozens of different grades of steel used on a modern automobile, each strategically employed to maintain the car’s rigidity and crash safety, so we use the Pro-Spot i4 water-cooled inverter spot-welding system to methodically check the type of metal and weld at each part of your vehicle. Then our our technicians use the Pro-Spot i4 to repair and weld your vehicle with exactly the methods that were used to build the car when it was new, ensuring no part of the critical structure or bodywork has been compromised. That makes the car as strong as possible, keeping your family safe.

While some repair shops and insurance companies encourage the use of aftermarket body parts, we use an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) matching program. Aftermarket parts can sometimes be most cost effective than OEM parts, but their quality varies wildly, and they don’t necessarily meet the same rigorous standards employed by the car’s manufacturer.

There’s another important consideration when deciding between aftermarket and original parts. If you lease your vehicle, you may be fined at lease turn-in if you have used aftermarket components instead of OEM-approved parts for your vehicle. For all those reasons, we always use OEM-matched parts.

Despite what you may have heard from your insurance agent, by law the customer always has the final say in where their vehicle is repaired. We are a direct-repair facility that has been approved by most major insurance companies. That means insurance companies have recognized our outstanding repair work, and would encourage their clients to have vehicles repaired with us. We also provide totally free estimates, taking the hassle and cost out of shopping around for the most trustworthy repair facility. If you do decide to work with us, we save you huge headaches by working with your insurance company on your behalf. Other shops, which aren’t already set up to work with insurers, make getting repairs covered by your insurance company much more of a hassle.

We offer a lifetime warranty on all our work, so if anything ever looks less than perfect with our repairs, we’ll cover it and make it right. Note that OEM parts are not covered by our warranty, but rather by the respective part manufacturer’s warranty.

Dealing with a vehicle repair after a collision is never easy, so we do all we can to make the process go smoothly. We can arrange discounts at major car rental companies to setup a loaner vehicle for you, so you can still get around while your car is in the shop. If your vehicle needs immediate towing after an accident, we recommend Wixom Towing — call them 24/7 at (248) 624-8070.

At this time, we don’t provide regular car maintenance like oil changes. However, for all your auto body repair and collision needs, call us today for a free estimate.
